To build our skills as a historic preservation corps we are always seeking historic preservation and trades specialists to share their experience and knowledge with us. These partners have paid roles on our team, leading our corpsmembers in everything from masonry to window restoration. Some work with us for our full commitment of a project, 1-2 weeks, while others provide a day or two of time to put on skill specific workshops. We are always searching for experienced preservation specialists and educators to add to our network.
Will you join us on our next project?
How it Works
Technical Instructors are paid consultants that play a vital role in our program. As a technical Instructor you will be role model for the next generation by:
- Teaching and mentoring Corpsmembers
- Sharing your experience in the field
- Providing resources for those interested in entering the field
- Role modeling project management and safety best practices
We have a variety of opportunities for involvement including:
- Providing in the field training for Corpsmembers and project facilitation
- Consulting on project planning and coordination with staff
- Providing specific training and workshop opportunities for Corpsmembers
At Northern Bedrock we will work with you to ensure that projects are the right fit for your knowledge and time availability.
Get Involved
With technical instructors like you we are providing the opportunity for young adults to learn real world skills and open the door to a future career. If you’d like to learn more about becoming a technical instructor, please contact Charley Langowski at 218.461.0423 or charley@northernbedrockcorps.org.
