A Historic Experience.

Join our crew for an outdoor adventure preserving, repairing, and maintaining historic structures across Minnesota!

Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps’ mission is to develop lifelong workforce skills by connecting young people to the earth, cultures, and traditions through historic preservation work and outdoor service. Our Pathways to the Preservation Trades AmeriCorps program provides young adults (ages 18-25) the opportunity to learn real-world skills, in an effort to open the door to a future career. During the six-month field season from May to October, crews meet in Duluth, MN, and travel to work on various historic sites and structures across the state of Minnesota.

Corpsmembers serve with five others ages 18-25, and earn a bi-weekly living stipend during their term. Corpsmembers can also take advantage of student loan forbearance during their term of service, and receive an Education Award upon completion, to be used for educational expenses.

Northern Bedrock crews have the opportunity to work at some of the most unique historic sites in Minnesota. Check out our 2017 Project Map to see some of the work we do!

By working with Northern Bedrock to repair and restore historic buildings, structures and landscapes you’ll have the opportunity to learn real-world skills that can help to open the door to a future career. As a part of our program you’ll have the opportunity to network with trades professionals, trade unions and historic preservation specialists.

We are accepting applications for the 2018 field season!  Follow position links to find out more and apply!
